1. Can you tell us a little about your book?
This book offers a unique outlook on life that is both convincing and thought-provoking. Everything in life is as it is. We just need to keep moving to a different viewpoint from where we can at last see a better picture of life. The author is confident this book will bring value and the readers will discover a rainbow of potential within the pages of “Let me plant a thought”.
2. Is there a specific event that inspired this story or was this an out of the blue idea?
I used to write whatever I used to overthink and couldn’t communicate. I used to write when I couldn’t find closure from people, to set myself free. One day I started sharing it as a post. I learned how much it helped others to feel heard and find strength through my words. It inspired me to write ever since I learned the worth of my words and what they are capable of. I’m grateful to those who found solace in my writing during difficult times and regained their faith in positivity.
3. What inspired you to write this book?
I used to write whatever I used to overthink when I couldn’t communicate. I used to write when I couldn’t find closure from people, to set myself free. I can proudly say that writing healed me from my long-term depression.
4. What was your impression of your first draft when you read it?
My first draft made me feel so proud of my work, because I know what I was going to offer to the world through this book and I couldn’t wait for it to be published.
5. Which part of the chapter connects the most with you? Why?
Every page in the book is connected to my heart. Especially ‘Spot the rainbow’ chapter is my personal favourite!
6. What makes your book the one to read?
It is a must read. As the title suggests, it plants a thought that leads the reader to find a fresh perspective on their life and self-image. I can proudly say that this book could be the one you didn’t know you needed.
7. What was the best advice you got while writing?
Though no one in my circle knows much about the skill to guide me or give advice, I take immense pride in having a strong support system. My family, best friend ‘Meena’ and well-wishers have always encouraged me to give my best. I am forever grateful to them.
8. Who’s your all-time favourite author? Which book of his/hers made you fall in love with them?
Jay Shetty! Absolutely admire his work. I loved his “think like a monk” very much. I appreciate how he teaches us to find our purpose through his words, and how to work on our monkey mind to think like a monk that gives us more space to think mindfully.
9. What is your evergreen tip to the writers out there?
I say this to myself and it turned my passion for writing into my purpose.
“Most of the time it takes one line (just one line) to fix someone’s heart or fix someone’s life. Those words are with you. Just let the words keep pouring out of your heart because you never know who needs to hear it.”
10. What was your hardest scene to write?
I live in what I write. So the hardest part for me was to write some really emotional stuff in this book to give life to those words.
11. Do you have another plot brewing?
Yes! I am currently working on my 3rd book. I’m super excited about it. I can tell that it’s worth the wait.
