Sk Muskan Tabasum: A Fearless Literary Voice Reimagining Healing, Humanity, and the Age of Kaliyuga
Sk Muskan Tabasum is a fearless and introspective literary voice who views writing not merely as storytelling, but as a powerful medium of emotional and intellectual communication. Born in Burdwan, West Bengal, she began her literary journey through competitions and poetry anthologies between 2015 and 2020, gradually shaping a voice that explores the blind spots of human perception and the unspoken realities of society. In 2022, she published her debut non-fiction book, Breaking Out: Life from Auto Pilot Mode, a bold and reflective work that examines childhood wounds, generational trauma, and the unconscious patterns that shape adult lives. Through personal insight and social commentary, the book urges readers to break free from living on “auto pilot mode” and to rise above societal pressures such as “log kyakahenge,” transforming vulnerability into strength and self-awareness. Her writing consistently encourages readers to confront their fears, rediscover their ambitions, and live consciously rather than mechanically.
Continuing her evolution as a writer, she released her first poetry collection, Kaliyuga On My Curls, where she reinterprets the concept of Kaliyuga not simply as a “dark age,” but as a reflection of human misconduct and moral decline. Blending Hindu mythology with contemporary social realities, she questions perfectionism, relationship politics, and emotional hypocrisy, urging readers to look beyond labels and rediscover authenticity in human connections. Recognized by Skyfest Book Launch in 2025 for her “powerful expression, emotional depth and poetic sensitivity,” Tabasum continues to build a literary space that is reflective, provocative, and deeply humane. Her work is not meant to be skimmed but revisited—line by line—offering a tapestry of thought, healing, and transformation for readers seeking writing that speaks to both the mind and the soul.
