Hyderabad, (Telangana), August 12, 2021: The Olympic Medalist PV Sindhu inaugurated “Vasundhara”, an exclusive and flagship Jewellery Store set up by Mrs Vasundhara Kasaraneni, the first successful woman entrepreneur in the Jewellery industry in entire South India.

The pride of the nation, Sindhu inaugurated the 10,000sft floor flagship showroom “Vasundhara” at Road No 45 in Jubilee Hills on Thursday.

Incidentally, this was her first such event post-Olympic victory.

Speaking on the occasion Ms. Sindhu said she has grown up wearing jewellery designed by “Vasundhara”. Me and my mom used to visit Mrs Vasundhara Kasaraneni for jewellery. Our association with Vasundhara is very long. I wear Yellow Sapphire ring bought from Vasundhara all the time she said.

What I like the most about brand Vasundhara is its uniqueness, exclusivity, craftsmanship, she said. When asked about what Jewellery means to her, Ms. Sindhu said who doesn’t like jewellery. Jewellery is one of the reasons to make women look beautiful, she said.

How does it feel to meet another successful woman like Mrs. Vasundhara, the most successful and the first women entrepreneur in the jewellery industry in entire South India?, Sindhu said “I am proud to be a woman”. We(women) are doing well in many fields and even in fields that were once dominated by men. Women are coming up well on all fronts. And more and more women need to come up”, she said.

The event was interesting and unique, the firsts of the sort, when the shuttler PV Sindhu India’s first woman to win two individual medals at the Olympic Games and to win them in back-to-back editions and Mrs Vasundhara Kasaraneni , the first successful woman jeweller in South India came together at the inauguration this morning.

Both Telugu women are firsts in their respective fields. They have broken the proverbial glass ceiling and reached greater heights in their chosen field. Amid gloomy times, their coming together was more inspirational to many women in the city.

A graduate of Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the world’s foremost authority in diamonds and colour stones, Mrs Vasundhara started her first luxury boutique 22 years ago and leaves an indelible mark in the jewellery industry in South India.

Many women achievers and the women who made a difference joined at the small and select inaugural function. Adhering to strict covid protocols, the inaugural program was a closed affair for a select few invitees. Some of them who graced include Former Union Minister Mr. Subbarami Reddy, Mrs. Surekha(wife of Megastar Chiranjeevi), Trivikram Srinivas, film director, Suresh Chukkapalli, Chairman of Phoenix Group of Hyderabad and Honorary Consul General of Republic of Korea in Hyderabad and others.

Mrs Vasundhara turned her passion into a profession as the most sought after jewellery designer. She has travelled far and wide in the last 22 years and has stores in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. The just inaugurated store is an Exclusive Designer Jewellery Store showcasing Bridal Jewellery in Diamond, Kundan, Gold and Precious Stones.

Mrs. Vasundhara and her sister Neha Anumolu are known for translating desires into masterpieces. Both sisters are accomplished designers, acknowledged trendsetters in the field of designer jewellery.
